Fieger Trial Moves Forward

The Fieger continued yesterday, and Tania Rock ended her testimony.

Earlier, [Paralegal Tania] Rock testified she and Johnson collected contribution checks from employees.

Under questioning from Fieger lawyer Gerry Spence, Rock admitted that she had never read federal campaign-finance law, which might undercut her testimony that she refused Fieger’s request to give to Edwards because she thought reimbursements were wrong.

She said Fieger told her not to worry about the reimbursements. Three lawyers from the firm who gave to the campaign have testified that they didn’t think it was wrong to be reimbursed until FBI agents raided the firm in 2005.
