A complaint has been filed in Massachusetts alleging that a state official used inappropriate letter for a fundraising event. 

The invitation was sent by The Wagner Committee inviting people to a $10-a-head chicken and ziti supper at the Fairview Castle of Knights on May 21. While the letterhead lists the Statehouse address, along with Wagner’s official contact information, there is no state seal on it.

“It’s stationery we use for constituent and campaign purposes,” Wagner said. “It’s paid for by my political committee. It’s not official letterhead. It doesn’t have the state seal. This is not Statehouse stationery.”
