The Des Moines school board race is rocked by these allegations.

State ethics officials will investigate the origin of anonymously e-mailed campaign fliers critical of Des Moines school board member Jonathan Narcisse and three candidates he’s endorsed.

Charlie Smithson, executive director of the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board, said the electronic fliers are illegal because they advocate for and against certain candidates but do not include information about who paid to produce and distribute them.
