Charges are flying in Arizona regarding contributions to the Arizona Republican Party.

The Arizona Democratic Party is accusing the Arizona Republican Party of “engaging in large-scale campaign finance fraud” by accepting illegal contributions and unlawfully using them to fund attacks on Democratic candidates.

Democratic Party Executive Director Maria Weeg today filed a complaint with both the Secretary of State and Maricopa County Recorder and asked for investigations of the Republican Party’s “illicit” actions.

The complaint relies heavily on statements Arizona Republican Party Chairman Randy Pullen made to the Yellow Sheet Report, a sister publication of Arizona Capitol Times.
