An Indiana candidate has pleaded guilty in a campaign finance case.
E-mails were the smoking gun that shot down Matt Kelty’s political career and led him to plead guilty on the day the ex-Republican mayoral candidate’s political corruption trial was set to begin.
In the e-mails, it shows Kelty covers up the fact political benefactor Don Willis was helping pay for an election poll, according to Special Prosecutor Daniel J. Sigler.
