The Ariziona Republic is covering the recent issues regarding donations to the state Republican Party.

The Arizona Secretary of State’s Office on Monday sought a formal response from the state Republican Party to Democratic allegations that the GOP recently violated campaign-finance laws.

The request comes two days after the state GOP refunded $105,000 it received over the last two months from an independent group of individuals known as SCA, or Sheriff’s Command Association. SCA has never filed required paperwork disclosing its donors to the state or Maricopa County.
