The Burlington County Times reports that a candidate has sued a party for defamation.

Democratic freeholder candidate Chris Brown has filed a lawsuit against the Burlington County Republican Party, alleging he was defamed in a 35-second campaign commercial.

The commercial alleges that Brown, currently a member of the Evesham Township Council, was “caught taking illegal campaign contributions.”
