Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox has started an investigation into Detroit interim Mayor Ken Cockrel Jr. over campaign finance reports.

Wayne County Clerk Cathy M. Garrett confirmed the investigation by releasing a statement about members of her staff being called in for interviews by the attorney general’s office.
