Fundraising During Legislative Session

Virginia is one of several states with a campaign finance system based almost entirely on disclosure, without contribution limitations or prohibitions.  The state does have some requirements, including:

Political committees must report all donations of $10,000 or more within three business days, and state officeholders cannot raise money during the legislative session.
