As noted recently, a number of states have restrictions on officeholders soliciting donations during the legislative session.   Wisconsin is considering such a ban.

While lawmakers would not be able to seek contributions, they would be able to accept unsolicited donations. The ban only affects individuals, not the committees organized to elect Republicans or Democrats to the Assembly.
