UT: Bill Passes House

A bill involving political activity passed the Utah House.  The bill is here.

HB232 would narrow language in the law, changing “influencing” a campaign to “expressly advocating.” Michael Cragun, deputy chief of staff to Lt. Gov. Gary Herbert, was pleased with the bill.  “If we can get the law amended, we’ll have some ability to enforce the law,” he told a House committee.  The bill will go to the Senate for further debate.
