Book Hill to Jefferson County: We Withdraw

Originally, County Commissioners planned to pay Book Hill nearly $1 million to lobby the federal government for assistance with its $3.2 billion sewer debt. But the contract stoked ire among county residents, who protested on the steps of the Jefferson County Courthouse while commissioners voted to hire the firm.
