MD: State of Lobbying

How much is being spent on lobbying in Maryland?  The Maryland State Ethics Commission has a report collecting the data and this article summarizes the information.

Pepco Holdings Inc., the utility provider that serves the Washington, D.C. area, topped the list, having spent about $723,000 between Nov. 1 2007 and Oct. 31, 2008.

The Maryland Retailers Association came second with about $640,400 in lobbying expenses. The Maryland Jockey Club came third, spending $540,000.
