Anthony P. Piscitelli was fined $12,000 for violating a one year ban on seeking to influence city officials, according to this Times report.
Stu Loeser, the mayor’s spokesman, explained that in the year after leaving a city job, public servants are permitted to contact their former agencies for personal or ministerial matters, but not to represent clients on official business. “He crossed the line,” Mr. Loeser said.
