With time running out in Kentucky’s 2009 legislative session, what will happen to a campaign finance reform measure? That’s the topic of this WFPL report.
“We want to have more electronic filing,” says [Kentucky Secretary of State Trey] Grayson. “We also want to add an additional report for our fall elections. Right now, the first report is due about a month before the election. We want to add an additional report two months before the election, so we can get some of the donors’ identities out.”
The campaign finance bill has been around since 2006, but has never passed both houses.
