Fast believes her role at the Farm Bureau is to serve as an advocate for Oregon’s farmers and a guardian against extremist policies that threaten the ability of farms to operate.

“I see farms as part of our national security on having a solid food supply – along with being an economic base of our country,” she said.

“In Oregon alone, about 10 percent of our economy is based on agriculture. If that were to go away, Oregonians would suffer in multiple turns – financially and health-wise, as well,” she said.
