According to Politico, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. acknowledged that the Office of Congressional Ethics is investigating his “maneuvering” for President Obama’s old Senate seat.

The Office of Congressional Ethics can conduct a preliminary investigation and then make a recommendation to the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct, otherwise known as the ethics committee, for a formal review.
