Gov. Corzine and New Jersey’s Pay to Play Law

The Corzine reelection effort is apparently soliciting contributions to a federal political committee account.  Why?  According to this report, it might have to do with New Jersey’s tough pay to play laws.

Gov. Jon Corzine’s re-election campaign is asking contributors to donate to a Democratic Party account he previously said should not be used for gubernatorial elections because the practice was considered a way to skirt New Jersey’s pay-to-play law.
