NJ ELEC’s New Chief

New Jersey’s Election Law Enforcement Commission has a new executive director, Jeffrey Brindle.

“Nothing is more important to the health of our state than to have an informed electorate and good people participating in the political and governmental process,” said Brindle, who is currently the agency’s deputy director.

In that post since 1985, Brindle earned a reputation as a prolific writer of reports, articles and white papers on campaign financing, public financing, lobbying and other topics. He also was responsible for budget, personnel and purchasing decisions as well as interacting with the Legislature and campaigns.
