The Yakima Herald reports that the Yakima City Council approved the drafting of a code of ethics.

The council has many examples to work from because most cities in the state with populations over 5,000 have some kind of ethics code, according to Assistant City Attorney Jim Mitchell.

They range from “inspirational” to highly detailed prohibitions, he said.
