A complaint was filed against RI AG Patrick Lynch involving state campaign finance law’s treatment of petty cash.

The complaint filed with the state Board of Election accused the Lynch campaign of spending more than $9,000 on items recorded as “petty cash” from April last year until March, including nearly $327 on travel and $600 in assorted fundraising expenses.
