Gov. Jindal and Ethics Reform

This article discusses Gov. Bobby Jindal’s comments on ethics reform in Louisiana.

Jindal’s comments came after the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana endorsed a Law Institute study of a new law. PAR President Jim Brandt said the law raised “troubling questions” about the handling of conflict of interest, nepotism and other cases.

Jindal and legislative leaders should request the review of the 2008 law and seek recommendations prior to the 2010 legislative session, said Brandt, who heads the non-profit governmental research group.
