“Casino Jack” set for Jan. 23 release

Casino Jack and the United States of Money” is set for a Jan. 23 release at the Sundance Film Festival, according to this report.  Set to attend the debut of the film is none other than former Rep. Bob Ney.

Before pleading guilty to corruption charges, Ney represented a Southeast Ohio congressional district and chaired the House Administration Committee. After his 2008 release from a 30-month prison sentence, he became host of a talk radio show broadcast in West Virginia, eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania.

Ney said he wasn’t paid to participate in the movie and isn’t being paid to attend the premiere, but was told he might be reimbursed for airfare.
