Politico has an update on American Crossroads here with a headline about “secret donors.”  Political Director Carl Forti talked about the group in Campaigns & Elections. The interview quotes Forti as follows:

I think our goal is to spend money where we think it can be most effective. So we’re just going to have to look and see how the playing field develops. We’re very interested in Senate races, but it’s not Senate only. We’re going to play in House races, too. Some of it is a function of what other groups do, and that’s the beauty of all this.
