Alabama’s PAC to PAC ban is in the news.

For the seventh year running, a bill to ban transfers of money between political action committees died in the 2008 regular session of the Alabama Legislature.

Lawmakers who enjoy the loose provisions of the existing law, which allows donors to hide their contributions by letting them be shifted from PAC to PAC before they reach the intended recipient, are in no hurry to embrace the campaign finance reform.
