The Chicago Tribune has a summary of the day’s events at the Blagojevich trial.

On another wiretapped conversation played in court, Blagojevich could be heard saying Jackson representatives were starting to call him at home. Monk said he had decided not to return calls concerning a Jackson appointment.

“He’ll offer you fundraising and all kinds of stuff,” Blagojevich said of Jackson.

Monk told the jury he understood Blagojevich to be saying that Jackson would attempt to bargain for the seat.

Prosecutors have alleged Blagojevich eventually got a specific offer of $1.5 million from Jackson’s camp for the seat.
