MASSA ETHICS MATTER.  An Ethics Committee matter involving former Rep. Massa is in the news here.  “The House Ethics Committee on Friday announced it has re-convened an investigative subcommittee to look into allegations that former Rep. Eric Massa sexually harassed a male staff member.”

THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN’S NUMBERS.  The Times.  “President Obama recruited roughly 150 new elite donors, raising as much as a half a million dollars each, to help propel him to a large and early lead over his Republican opponents in the race for campaign cash, according to campaign filings released last week.”  The Post covers developments here.

PERRY’S TRAVEL PAYMENTS.  The Times.  “The governor’s airfare, hotel bills and security costs are paid for with a mix of campaign and private and public money. And state laws allow the governor to keep confidential much of the cost of his travels.”

WATERS ETHICS INVESTIGATION IN THE NEWS.  Politico.  “The former staff director of the House Ethics Committee accused two top committee lawyers last year of secretly communicating with Republicans on the panel regarding the investigations of Democratic Reps. Maxine Waters and Charles Rangel, raising concerns over whether the long-running inquiries were compromised by key staffers, according to internal committee documents obtained by POLITICO.”
